The small ridges of teeth are a surprisingly effective way to turn fresh ginger into a meal-ready ingredient, requiring surprisingly little effort compared to chopping and producing finer shreds than standard graters. Its basin design helps separate the ginger fibres from the puree and juice, offering maximum flavour without the texture that fresh ginger can create.
